Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Arrives in the US

Kavalan Distillery has released a product for Sherry whisky enthusiasts. Triple Sherry Cask is a Kavalan single malt whisky matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, and Moscatel casks. It is reported that the distillery is making significant investments in Sherry casks in anticipation of its 20th anniversary in 2025.

This is Kavalan's first release since the Single Cask CS launch in the US in late 2023. It has an alcohol content of 43% and is expected to retail for $100. This product is meticulously married after full maturation in three individual casks to achieve perfect harmony. The white, red, and gold color scheme of the label is designed to reflect a fresh and Sherry whisky feel.

Kavalan is located on the northeast coast of Taiwan in a region with a subtropical climate and high humidity. These conditions are designed to produce excellent matured products in a relatively short period. However, it inevitably suffers from a significant angels' share. Compared to warehouses of other distilleries primarily located in cold regions, Kavalan's three-story warehouse has the advantage of maximizing turnover.

While Kavalan has previously released high-quality single cask whiskies using Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, and Moscatel, respectively, this is the first time they have blended the three to create a harmonious product.
